Job summary

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to come and work within our team here on Ward F8, where we believe that an open, honest, approachable and transparent environment, together with amazing teamwork is the key to happy staff and good, safe patient care.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join a team of dedicated and passionate staff members who strive to deliver care of the highest quality.

F8 is a fast paced, 27 bedded Renal Ward which works closely with the dialysis unit. We strongly believe in encouraging staff members to meet their full potential and support development for all staff members.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have good communication skills.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse on F8, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver, safe, quality care to all patients through a process of assessment planning, implementing and evaluating care given
  • Deliver high standards of care based on evidenced based practice and abiding by hospital policies
  • Use your own initiative and working independently, within the boundaries of your own existing knowledge, skill and competency level and job description
  • Use effective communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the clinical environment and wider Hospital Trust and community
  • Provide open and effective communication with patients and their families
  • Update and develop own knowledge, professional practice and clinical skills
  • Have full UK NMC Registration and PIN number and ready to work as a Band 5 at interview
