Job summary
The role we are offering at the West Suffolk Hospital Foundation Trust is that of an IT Trainer, who is passionate about making a difference to those they train and help to create that light bulb moment within the training environment.
This role is working with a diverse but dedicated training team where you are seen as a valued contributor in facilitating training sessions around our Electronic Patient record (EPR) system. You will run classroom sessions, practise sessions, and help support those post training with any queries staff may have around our EPR and workflows. Creating innovative training and support materials from guides to interactive elearning modules to immersive technology using simulations, and 360 videos.
The training we offer is hybrid and is based around blended learning, so we aim to deliver a wraparound approach to our training delivery from Digital Systems induction modules, virtual classroom, face to face, one to one, bespoke, post support training and much more.
Main duties of the job
Working within the Training team you will become an expert in our EPR training modules that cover both Clinical and Admin roles within the Trust. You will work with various Stakeholders and Project managers to understand the training need required when additional and new modules are brought in.
You will facilitate training on most of our inductions which includes being able to use our LMS to track completed assessments, set up course content, devise knowledge checks, and an array of reports. Work as a team to support post training which may mean the occasional floorwalking for a Go live or visiting clinical areas to support a Dr, nurse, HCA, Consultant, Personal assistant (PA) to understand a workflow.
There will be times when you will be asked to run drop-in sessions on certain modules, help advise on a training approach, write Quick references guides and become creative with designing some potential online learning. As part of your trainer role, you will also be expected to write and update lesson plans, practise booklets and guides especially when large scale changes have been implemented.
What we are looking for from you as a potential candidate is the ability to facilitate and manage learners with a varying degree of digital skills. You must have an eye for detail and be able to use many of the Microsoft office applications and be confident in using IT.
