Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and hard working Healthcare Assistants to join the SDEC/AMU team . If you enjoy working in a busy and acute environment this job will be of a personal interest to you.

Training will be provided with reference to any specific requirements within our speciality.

Main duties of the job

To assist and support registered staff in the delivery of high quality, individualised, dignified and compassionate care to patients. To contribute to the effective running of the department by concentrating on tasks that directly support the needs of the patient and assist their journey, prioritising as required. To work under the supervision of a registered healthcare practitioner at all times, working within the parameters of their competence, communicating and documenting appropriately ensuring relevant information is communicated to other members of the multidisciplinary team in a professional and timely manner. The ability to work to a high standard at all times, influencing and role modelling patient centred care. Individuals must be willing to undertake the care certificate training programme. Bank Staff will have a maximum of 6 months to complete the care certificate and other staff will be expected to complete this within a maximum of 12 weeks.

The role requires the individual to recognise and adopt the National 6 C's which are Care, Compassion, Communication, Commitment, Competence and Courage.
