Personal Assistant to Divisional Operations Director

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Administration Team to support the Divisional Operations Director and the Senior Management Leadership Team in the Division of Medicine, Diagnostic and Clinical Support Services.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with sound secretarial skills and the ability to independently manage their own work load, whilst providing PA support to the Divisional Operations Director and some members of the Senior Leadership Management Team.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • RSA 3 Typing/Word Processing or equivalent as minimum criteria.

Desirable

  • Recognised secretarial/administrative qualifications.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Relevant and significant experience working at a senior level for a Director or other senior individual including diary management and formal minute taking to a high standard.
  • Evidence of self-development or training in administration and or/office practices.
  • Used to working across a range of activities.
  • Fully conversant with MS Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook).

Desirable

  • Excellent awareness of the terminology used within the health system.
  • Knowledge of the NHS.

Skills, Abilities and Competencies

Essential

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to use own initiative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work as a team player and build strong networks to resolve issues and to seek help when required.
