Outpatient Senior Sister

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Sister in Surgical Outpatients department and Broadland Suite working alongside our friendly and dynamic multi-disciplinary team members.

The post holder will be based in the clinic at the James Paget University Hospital and will provide leadership in the surgical outpatient clinics with speciality including general surgery, orthopaedic, ENT, Urology and Oral surgery.

Main duties of the job

Main responsibilities include: Acting as a visible leader ensuring the smooth day to day running of clinics within the departments. Managing teams including rosters, sickness, appraisals and effectively challenging where appropriate. Leading on service development and embedding changes into practice to aid improvement.

Adhering to NMC and Trust guidelines, policies and procedures. Ensuring practice is relevant and evidence based.

Working alongside all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a family-centred and holistic approach is taken for all patients pathways.

Complete audits and data collection to ensure patient safety and experience is paramount.
