Job summary
The post holder will assist the Head of Procurement in the delivery of an effective and efficient procurement service to achieve the Trust's financial targets. Working as part of a small team you will provide procurement advice and support to Trust colleagues regarding the purchase of goods and services and the completion of medium /high value contracts that fall under the Corporate Category of spend including (but not limited to) Estates, Facilities and Digital Health. You will also work collaboratively with Norfolk & Waveney ICS partners to drive savings and efficiencies through aggregated procurements
Main duties of the job
Main duties will include:
- Analysing data extracted from various systems relating to spend to identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies
- Supporting budget holders to define requirements
- Creating and managing tenders and associated contracts via the Atamis portal
- Researching the market place and engaging with suppliers
- Attending meetings
- Ensuring compliance with local SFIs (standing financial instructions) and PCR2015 (public contract regulations)
Skills Required:
- Effective negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Effective communication and excellent customer service
- Ability to extract, analyse and present data in various formats
- Basic project management skills

Procurement is a small team based at the hospital supporting our Trust colleagues with all matters pertaining to the purchase of goods and services required to treat patients in our local community. We also work collaboratively with procurement teams from other hospitals and healthcare providers across the Norfolk and Waveney area and sometimes beyond to maximise savings for the NHS and to ensure that we have the appropriate products available at the right time to enable patients to receive the best possible care.
