The principal role of the Project Accountant is to provide a central, comprehensive, financial management and accounting service for all aspects of the specified areas for which the post holder is responsible. This role will be part of the Project Management Office for the Acute Hospital Collaborative' Electronic Patient Records (EPR) programme and will work across the three main Acute Trusts within the Partnership; The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the James Paget University Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn. The post will be based at the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with hybrid working and occasional travel mostly within the ICS locality.

The post holder will be pivotal in supporting the delivery of the New Hospital Programme. The post holder will be expected to align to the Trust's change, project, and programme management approach with regard to delivery.

Main duties of the job

The project accountant will work closely with members of the EPR Project Management Office as well as Department Leads across the three Acute Trusts in order to support the financial aspects of the EPR Programme, as well as working closely with members of the programme team and other stakeholders across the Trustin order to support the financial aspects of the NHP Programme.

The project accountant will provide financial support and assurance on future iterations of the EPR budget, utilising a suitable fit for purpose change request process to provide assurance that spending commitments remain within financial envelope, as well as providing financial support and analysis as required for the development on future iterations of the NHP business case (SOC, OBC and FBC).
