Job summary
We are fortunate to be looking to expand our services and are looking for an enthusiastic sonographer to join our small, forward thinking friendly Ultrasound department here at the James Paget University Hospital.
Applicants must possess a CASE accredited Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Ultrasound and must be registered with the HCPC or other relevant professional body. Recent NHS experience is required and all applicants must meet the requirements of the role.
Sessions in general medical, obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound are offered with the opportunity to undertake some vascular and musculoskeletal scanning should you have the required qualifications. With the advent of the forthcoming Radiology department expansion, there is a requirement for flexible working (to ensure that the department can provide an 8am - 8pm day and a 7 day week service)
There are active training and preceptorship programmes in place within the department that all staff are involved in (the Ultrasound Department has recently received BMUS endorsement for its preceptorship programme). We have a good support network from our Radiology colleagues and actively encourage participation in non-clinical aspects of the role including audit, CPD and peer review.
This post is open to UK residents only. Previous candidates need not apply. Only short listed candidates will be notified.
