The Application Support Analyst role is responsible to the Application Services Manager for the delivery of Application Support for over 200 applications.
The role is part of a 6 person team of Application Systems Specialists who carry out support, training and testing on both in house and third party clinical and non-clinical applications.
Main duties of the job
A position has arisen within the Application Support and Training team for an Application Support and Training Analyst. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and exciting team to offer support to its 4000+ staff and visiting partner agencies on our portfolio of over 200 applications. The successful candidate will be able to evidence previous experience in an IT 1st or 2nd line role.
Candidates with extensive testing experience will also be considered as the role has a significant testing component. The candidate will also be able to evidence an understanding of at least one of the following:

- Server technologies
- Database administration
- Client support
- Development testing
- Interfacing technology and support
- IT testing and training

As an active member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the Trust's Applications on a daily basis. You will be expected to advise on the implementation and operation of all aspects of the Trust's Clinical and Business applications.
We are looking for a candidate who can quickly learn the current systems and respond to a variety of support requirements. An awareness of the NHS environment, particularly of clinical applications is a benefit. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a practical approach to dealing with enquiries and efficiency at resolving problems for our colleagues.
