Gynaecology Oncology Nursing Sister/Charge Nurse

Job summary

We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join our Gynaecology Oncology team.

Due to funding a vacancy has arisen in a highly motivated and supportive team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional who is already an experienced nurse with an interest in working with patients referred with a suspected gynaecology cancer.

Main duties of the job

This position primarily will implement and monitor the concept for straight to test for all 2 week wait referrals for the gynaecology oncology pathway although you will be expected to learn and cover other aspects of the service.

About us

You will provide high quality specialist nursing care to all patients and their families/carers from diagnosis, treatment and beyond. You will ensure that patients are supported throughout their journey as their key worker as a point of contact and supporting them to move forward.

You will also act as a resource for other healthcare professionals for gynaecology cancer treatments along with the wider multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder will hold well developed interpersonal and communication skills and also possess good facilitation and IT skills.
