Apprenticeship Programme Advisor

37.5 hours per week

Fixed term/Secondment until January 2024.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Education and Practice Development Team at the James Paget University Hospital.

We are recruiting for an Apprenticeship Programme Advisor to come and join our friendly and supportive team.

Working as part of the Education and Practice Development Team the post holder will provide administrative support to the apprenticeship and work experience programme, as well as similar associated initiatives relating to entry routes into NHS employment.

The role will involve the monitoring of staff and recruited apprentices progressing through the apprenticeship programme, as well as providing support to managers interested in recruiting apprentices. The post holder will also provide staff development opportunities through the Apprenticeship Programme for existing staff to achieve formal Apprenticeship qualifications, which supports career progression within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Provide administrative support to the apprenticeship and work experience programme, liaising with employees and training providers, organising meetings and workshops e.g. book rooms, photocopying, filing, emails, answering phone calls.

Liaise with managers, employees, external Healthcare partner organisations, external colleges and other training providers to maximise recruitment, enrolment and completion of the Apprenticeship.

Process requests for work experience, apprenticeships qualifications, and training ensuring that all documentation is fully completed and appropriately authorised.
