Job summary

The James Paget Hospital is located directly alongside the beautiful Norfolk coastline and provides care to a population of 230,000 residents of Great Yarmouth and Waveney.

The Trust has an excellent reputation for care delivery, led by influential and successful clinical leaders. The Chief Nurse has recently restructured his immediate leadership team which has created an opportunity for a second Lead Nurse/Midwife/AHP to join us. This is an amazing opportunity for either an established senior nurse/midwife/AHP wanting to change direction or someone who feels now is the right time to take the next step in their career pathway.

Main duties of the job

The Corporate Lead Nurse/Midwife/AHP position is pivotal to leading and influencing excellence in patient care and professional practice, and covers a wide range of service responsibilities. It is integral to delivery of the strategic vision for the Trust and how we shape and grow services that are responsive to the changing needs of the local population, the current healthcare arena and other exciting expansions and developments in clinical practice.

About us

We are very proud of the JPUH and its people, and are continually seeking improvements to ensure that patients and staff have the most positive experience possible when they are here.

Our vision is to provide safe, high quality services delivered with courtesy and respect.

The east coast is a great place to live:

  • Our Trust is located 5 minutes from Gorleston Beach, with its 3 miles of golden sands rated by Tripadvisor as the 8thbest beach in the UK and given a Travellers' Choice Award after being ranked in the top 10% of attractions worldwide.
  • The Trust is located near the Broads National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) consisting of over 200km of waterways which also provide access to activities including boating, kayaking and paddleboarding.
  • Affordable properties to buy and rent with prices below the regional average.
