Job summary
You may not have considered working in Norfolk before but you will be assured of a warm welcome in our Audiology department on the "Sunrise Coast" as an opportunity for a forward-looking, well-motivated team player has arisen to join our friendly dedicated team.
The role will include providing routine and specialist clinical services to adults and children, working within a multi-disciplinary team and providing a key role in the training of Audiology apprentices, students and supporting other audiological training within the Trust. This post will involve undertaking audio-vestibular assessments on all patient groups.
You will have highly developed and specialist knowledge of audiological procedures, practices and post qualification experience. The post is full time, but there is the opportunity to work flexibly within those hours. Consideration will be given to applicants who would like to work part-time.
Main duties of the job
The main aspects of this role is to be a clinical lead for Audiology which will include hearing and vestibular assessment and rehabilitation, electrophysiological diagnostic tests and hearing aid services to patients of all ages ensuring that the Audiology service maintains the highest standards of care and that clinical and management decisions are effectively communicated through the Audiology service. The post holder will work with the department's Senior Management Team to ensure that the department provides an effective, efficient and caring service.

The Audiology Department at the James Paget Healthcare NHS offers a comprehensive and fully embedded diagnostic and rehabilitative service for both adults and children. We provide a Hearing Therapy service and a hospital based NHSP. We are an established training site for undergraduate students and more recently apprentices. We encourage continuing professional development and participation in research programs. Our department offers great facilities and a positive working environment. We are a welcoming and busy department currently enjoying low wait times for all aspects of our service. The locality is an area of outstanding natural beauty with both the Norfolk Broads and the picturesque coastline being within easy reach.
