We are now inviting applications for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Pharmacy Dispensary team at Peterborough City Hospital as a full-time Band 2 Pharmacy Support Worker.

Grow with us We actively support your development. If you do not already hold a recognised Pharmacy Assistant qualification (for example, Dispensing Assistant or Pharmacy Stock Management), you will be supported to achieve this within your first three months.
Following successful training and competency sign-off, you can progress to Band 3 within approximately 12 months.

Main duties of the job
- Support the receipt, storage, and distribution of medicines and stock
- Supply pharmaceuticals safely to wards, departments, and external customers
- Assist with stock returns, recycling, and disposal in line with agreed processes
- Contribute to the smooth running of a busy dispensary service

Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Recognised Pharmacy Assistant (e.g. Dispensing Assistant, Counter Assistant or Pharmacy Stock Management) qualification or willing to undertake this within three months of starting the post.
- Commitment to continuing professional development
- Ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills though any of the following: oEvidence of using English and Maths in a previous role oDemonstrated communication and numerical skills during interview

- GCSE in Maths & English (or equivalent)

- Experience in working with the public and or patients

- Previous experience of working in community or hospital pharmacy environment
