Are you a forward-thinking, innovator wanting to be part of the expansion of our Plastic Surgery Service?
Our team is spread across our two main acute hospitals, Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital. You will be undertaking sessions at both sites to provide high-quality Theatre and Outpatient care.
You will be on the General Medical Council Specialist Register and completed the FRCS(Plast) or equivalent at the time of application. Following the regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the GMC Specialist Register to be considered for a Consultant appointment by the Advisory Appointments Committee.
Main duties of the job
The sessional commitments include 10 PA's with 1.5 SPA involving no formal on-call commitments. They will be mutually agreed upon at the commencement of employment. Future flexibility is expected to accommodate the growing demands of the service.
You will provide elective Plastic Surgery Outpatient and Theatre services across all main sites in conjunction with colleagues and contribute to the development of the Plastic Surgery Department.
You will have a continuing responsibility for the care of patients and the proper functioning of the service, allowing for all appropriate delegation and training of staff.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your clinics and must ensure that in/outpatient services are covered during planned absences.
