Job summary
Join us for the first year of the implementation of the foundation pharmacist training year incorporating the revised standards where you will support the first cohort and lead on future Foundation Trainee Pharmacist Training Programmes with additional focus on the transition to newly qualified pharmacist.
The role also involves educating and training a range of healthcare learners within the organisation, including junior doctors, and collaborating with wider trust education colleagues and higher education institutions to provide growth in the ability and skill of our workforce.

Main duties of the job
- Support the Principal Pharmacist- Clinical Education in co-ordination and delivery of high-quality education and training to a range of healthcare professionals including those within pharmacy
- Organise and support delivery of undergraduate pharmacy placements
- Identify workforce development opportunities alongside the clinical education team
- Lead on delivery of the Foundation Trainee Pharmacist training programme

Essential
- Educated to Degree or Masters level in Pharmacy
- Registered Pharmacist (GPhC)
- Postgraduate qualification relevant to hospital pharmacy practice
- Proven evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Desirable
- Leadership / Management qualification relevant to the NHS or equivalent management qualification or experience
- Credentialed for RPS Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum
- Relevant teaching qualification or working towards one
- Registered Pharmacy non-medical prescriber
- Registered member with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
- Designated Prescribing Practitioner or undertaking training
