As the Community Maternity Services Lead Midwife, you will be passionate to deliver high-quality, personalised care to women and families in our community.

You will be a key driver in developing and enhancing services, leading with expertise, and supporting the continuous improvement of maternity care within our community.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of midwives, ensuring they provide compassionate, evidence-based care.

  • Develop and implement service strategies that align with national guidelines and local needs.

  • Promote and deliver high-quality, safe, and person-centred maternity services within the community.

  • Build strong relationships with families, offering guidance and support at every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care.

  • Drive quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide seamless, integrated care.

  • Provide leadership, participate in perinatal governance forums, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

  • Masters degree/equivalent postgraduate experience
