We are looking for an organised and dedicated Medical Secretary to deliver high quality secretarial and administrative support within our specialty department. This role is essential for ensuring smooth patient pathways and supporting our clinical teams in meeting critical Trust targets.

Main duties of the job

Key Duties Include:

  • Data Management & Validation: Handle e-track queries and validate reports from Information Services.
  • Communication: Manage incoming telephone inquiries, liaising with internal and external stakeholders professionally and promptly.
  • Direct Support to Clinical Staff: Provide essential administrative assistance to consultants and nurse specialists, including diary and appointment management.
  • Supervision of Band 2 Staff: Oversee and supervise Band 2 team members, including performance appraisals (MPAs).
  • Clinic Management: Utilise the Clinician system to schedule or cancel clinics as needed, ensuring optimal clinic utilisation.
  • Email Management: Respond to emails across multiple mailboxes, keeping communication smooth and organised.
