Insight Executive Group is thrilled to partner exclusively with North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NW Anglia FT) to source candidates for key roles in the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme (HHRP). This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of healthcare infrastructure.
As the Design and Construction Project Manager - Main Build, you will oversee the end-to-end construction of a state-of-the-art hospital facility, with an estimated value of £800m. You will manage the integration of mechanical and electrical systems, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and drive sustainable construction aligned with the Trust's Green Plan. Your leadership and strategic vision will be vital in delivering a cutting-edge hospital that will transform patient care.
Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking a highly experienced construction professional with a strong background in managing large-scale capital projects, ideally within the healthcare or public sector. You will need experience in business case development, governance, and working collaboratively with partner organisations. Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
- Construction Management: Lead the design and delivery of the HHRP main build, managing all technical aspects, and ensuring alignment with national healthcare standards and regulatory requirements.
- Programme Leadership: Manage timelines, resources, and milestones for the construction works, ensuring effective communication between clinical, operational, and design teams.
- Environmental Stewardship: Conduct environmental impact assessments, implementing strategies to minimise the hospital's carbon footprint and ensure sustainable design and construction practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships with Trust leadership, architects, contractors, and key external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and project delivery.
- Financial Management: Oversee the budget for the main build, ensuring cost efficiencies and value for money throughout the procurement and construction processes.
