Job summary

This is new role for the organisation, focused on improving the provision of reporting for the organisation. The focus of this role is understanding why our performance has changed to facilitate appropriate targeted responses to adverse performance, and to highlight best practice where performance improved. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Operational Directors and the wider clinical divisions, in addition to colleagues across the transformation team to ensure an aligned approach and narrative to performance improvement.

Main duties of the job

The Associate Director of Performance will oversee the organisations performance function. You will be responsible engaging with the organisation and external stakeholder to understand our performance, what is driving this and our organisational response, providing a cohesive narrative of the organisations performance journey to a range of forums.

You will work collaboratively with staff across the organisation to ensure that there is a consistent narrative to our organisational performance, providing challenge and holding to account as well as highlighting positive improvement. You will then be responsible for providing the consistent narrative through the Trusts performance and accountability framework - from divisions through to the Trust board - and with external stakeholders for performance reviews with NHS England and escalations.

You will have significant experience creating and presenting performance information for acute Trusts, working with colleagues to provide a clear consistent narrative. You will be able to work closely with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, developing strong and productive relationships to help further develop our organisational narrative.
