Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the specialist palliative care team at NWAFT : influencing the holistic care of patients and carers with palliative end of life and specialist palliative care needs across NWAFT Hospital sites and the local community. The post includes supporting the delivery of a specialist palliative seven across NWAFT Hospitals and the local community.

Main duties of the job

You will need to have an excellent knowledge of symptom control for patients with end of life malignant or non-malignant care needs. The job will involve the education and training of other health professionals regarding end of life and specialist palliative care across and the acute hospital and local community. The successful applicants will need to be proactively involved in audit and clinical governance regarding end of life and specialist palliative care.

You will need to be enthusiastic, adaptable to change and have a real passion for delivering and implementing excellent standards of Specialist palliative care across both areas of practice though this post will be primarily community based initially.
