Job summary
- To promote and ensure the delivery of high quality, evidence based care/best practice
- To provide support for the senior cardiac physiologists/service leads
- To provide a quality service for patients requiring invasive and non-invasive cardiology investigation procedures
- Responsible for assessing patients' needs whilst undergoing investigative procedures and providing appropriate level of care required
Main duties of the job
- To perform a range of the following procedures in accordance with established policies and professional codes of practice ensuring high standards and optimal results:
- 12 lead ECG performance and interpretation
- Exercise tolerance testing
- Responsible for leading the test ensuring test appropriateness and safety.
- Ambulatory ECG monitoring
- Ambulatory BP monitoring
- Ambulatory ECG analysis
- 24 hour and cardiac event recorders
