Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, well-organised and committed Finance Officer to support the Financial Services Technical Team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. This post will be based at Peterborough City Hospital.

Working alongside the wider finance team at the Trust and ensuring the Financial Services team are supported by ensuring a high quality of service.

Main duties of the job

Provide support to the Financial Services' technical and services team, specifically the Reconciliations and Cash Accountant. The post holder will be expected to work independently but under the supervision of the Capital and Control Assistant Accountant and the Reconciliations and Cash Accountant, who will retain responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of tasks.

Ensure the Trust has accurate and complete records for its financial and capital ledgers, adhering to accounting procedures, processes and deadlines as advised.

  • Strong communication skills in writing

  • Knowledge of NHS capital accounting rules and an understanding of fixed asset register and reporting
  • Experience of being system/ledger 'Super user'
