Job summary

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified Pharmacy Technician to join a patient focused team that is continually developing its high quality dispensary based service. This essential post will provide the opportunity for a committed technician to put their pharmacy skills into practice working with both new and innovative technology and systems whilst being supported by a technician led dispensary.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a highly motivated Pharmacy Technician with excellent organisational skills who can work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy in all aspects of dispensary-based activities. It is essential that you are an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) and we would welcome applications from current community pharmacy technicians.

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Dispensaries Manager in developing and promoting an excellent service for both our Inpatient and Outpatient dispensaries.

  • Integrated standard of Pharmacy Technician practice / NVQ 3 Pharmacy Services or National BTEc Certificate in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent
  • Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Accredited Checking Technician (ACPT) - current certificate or completed under integrated Pharmacy Technician standards

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven track record in Pharmacy
