An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated operational manager; working within the Surgical Division across North West Anglia's two main acute sites to support the delivery of elective work and manage a number of projects and initiatives.
The Deputy Divisional Operations Director role is a fantastic opportunity for a senior operational manager to support the delivery of the Trusts key operational services as well as delivering the clinical strategy, service improvement across sites and embedding new ways of working. Reporting to the Divisional Operations Director - Surgery you will be a key and integral member of the senior management team.
The role will require strong communication and negotiations skills to influence senior clinicians and other key stakeholders both across the organisation and externally in order to deliver on key projects.
The successful candidate will be educated to masters' level or equivalent and have significant experience of working at a senior level within the NHS. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate previous collaborative working, with an ability to motivate and influence individuals and teams that operate across sector/organisational boundaries. The successful candidate will also have excellent leadership, engagement and interpersonal skills.
Main duties of the job
The Deputy Divisional Operations Director (DDOD) will provide excellent leadership to staff within the Division with responsibility for the efficient and effective management of the Division, including:
- Ensuring efficient management of the day to day operations, ensuring delivery of all services and access performance measures, delivery of quality measures and sound financial management.
- Ensuring robust systems of governance and communication.
- Development of the Divisional Business Plan which will be in line with the Trust's overall strategy and objectives
- Ensuring that robust capacity & demand plans are in place and managed.
