Job summary
We are looking for a caring, dedicated, innovative and motivated Staff Nurse to join the Orthopaedic and Rheumatology Outpatient Department team, based within Peterborough City Hospital. You must have a caring approach, be an excellent communicator and be capable of delivering high standards of patient care, in line with the NMC code of conduct.
There will be a requirement for the successful candidate to work cross-site at Hinchingbooke Hospital and Stamford Hospital if the need arises.
Main duties of the job
The Role of the Staff Nurse within this Department is diverse. We aim to deliver high quality evidence based care to Trauma, Elective Orthopaedic and Rheumatology patients. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team within the Orthopaedic and Rheumatology outpatient department, to ensure the smooth running of both Trauma, Elective and Rheumatology clinics, plaster room and minor ops procedure room. We care for a range of patients, both children and adults. You will be required to provide a high quality of care to patients in a caring and compassionate manner, acting always in the patients best interest. Part of the role will be to mentor students and junior members of the team, act as a role model and uphold the Trusts policies and procedures. It is a requirement that candidates are registered Staff Nurses with a current NMC pin.
