Clinical Teaching Fellows for Hinchingbrooke Hospital
Applications are invited for the Clinical Teaching Fellow posts at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, part of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful applicants will be working with clinical students from the University of Cambridge on placement at Hinchingbrooke. These roles provide an ideal opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their teaching skills at the bedside in addition to teaching in the classroom and skills laboratory setting.
One post will sit within General Medicine and the other within General Surgery. The posts will consist of 50% undergraduate teaching with a further 50% clinical work.
These posts are suitable for those who have just completed their Foundation Programme training in addition to those who have undertaken IMT 1-2/CT1-2 training.

Teaching is provided in a variety of clinical settings and the post holder will be expected to spend approximately five sessions per week teaching undergraduate medical students from Cambridge. The post holder will be expected to participate in the student induction sessions, including those at Cambridge and assessment sessions. It is expected that annual leave will be taken when students are not on placement to the Trust. If leave is taken during a student placement block a prospective cover will have to be agreed by the Medical Education Department.
