Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Database Manager to lead our charity's data strategy and infrastructure. This pivotal role sits at the heart of our income generation efforts, enabling smarter fundraising, targeted marketing, and evidence-based decision-making across the charity.
As part of the Charity team, you will oversee the development and optimisation of our CRM and associated databases, ensuring they are fit for purpose and future proofed. You will lead on data acquisition and marketing strategies, working closely with senior leadership to shape how data drives our mission and supports our supporters.
Main duties of the job
*Develop and deliver the charity's data strategy, building capacity across data collection, analysis, and usage.
*Act as the Data Protection Lead, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance.
*Manage and evolve the CRM database, ensuring it meets current and future organisational needs.
*Produce high-quality supporter analysis, dashboards, and campaign reports to inform strategic decisions.
*Lead on data marketing and acquisition, supporting fundraising and philanthropy colleagues to create detailed data acquisition and growth strategies.
*Ensure best practice use of databases through training, user guides, and process development.
*Collaborate across with trust colleagues and teams to integrate systems and improve supporter experience.
*Deliver monthly income and data reconciliation for Fundraising and Finance teams.
*Maintain data accuracy through regular cleansing, audits, and updates.
*Represent the charity in key meetings, including the Information Governance Steering Group.
*Support reporting to the Charitable Funds Committee and Trustee Board.
*Provide technical support and onboarding for new users, and lead on database-related projects.
