Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge. We perform the most heart and/or lung transplants in the UK and carried out the UK's first successful heart transplant in 1979. It also offers emergency heart attack treatment, sleep centre care and is one of just five centres nationally for those in severe respiratory failure.

- Post registration ICU course, ENB or equivalent and CC3N Step 1, 2 and 3 Competencies
- Registration with NMC
- Recent cardio-thoracic Critical Care experience at Band 5 or above
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Practice Assessor Course (or equivalent) qualification
- Experience in caring for patients with extra-corporeal devices (ECMO/VADS)
- Experience mentoring junior staff
- Experience and training in staff development, coaching, supervision, and teaching.
- Edward Jenner Course or equivalent
Desirable
- Degree, master's degree or working towards
- Attained or willingness to work towards a PGCE in medical and health education (or equivalent)
