Internal Secondment - Martha's Rule Project Support Officer

We are inviting expressions of interest from internal candidates for an exciting secondment opportunity to support the implementation of Martha's Rule at Royal Papworth Hospital.

About the Role

This is a unique chance to make a real impact on patient safety by supporting the rollout of Marthas Rule - an NHS England initiative designed to ensure patients and families are empowered to raise concerns about deterioration and receive timely clinical reviews.

As a phase 2 implementer site, RPH is working closely with NHS England and the Health Innovation East to implement this high-profile programme.

Previous project management experience is helpful but not essential.

Main duties of the job

Key ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will be the lead specialist working alongside the Implementation team on RPHs delivery of Marthas Rule on all 3 Components, with a focus on the Patient wellness Questionnaire.

Work with stakeholders and the clinical teams to provide specialist advice that contributes to the education of patients.Coordinate project delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, quality, and risk are well managed.

  • BSc degree or equivalent diplomas/experience.
  • PLUS post graduate learning or experience relevant to practice with demonstrable competence OR specialist knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge or relevant practical experience.
  • Registered with relevant professional organisation.
  • Evidence of further training/study/courses.

Experience

  • Has clinical experience and a passion for improving patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
  • Is confident working autonomously and collaboratively across teams.
  • Has experience (or a strong interest) in quality improvement and service redesign.
