Are you an experienced project manager passionate about healthcare transformation? Join our small but impactful Strategic Projects Team at Royal Papworth Hospital and help shape the future of patient care across our Trust and wider healthcare system.

Our current focus is the Trust's Elective Recovery Programme, service and cost improvements and the development of the Trust next Five-year strategy 2026-2031 and supporting strategies.

We also work closely with partner organisations on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and across Cambridge and Peterborough Integrated Care System.

The Project Manager leads several projects providing project management and support to ensure outputs are delivered effectively across the Strategic Projects team and Director of Strategic Projects portfolio You'll be responsible for defining and managing projects with a focus on identifying risks, resolving issues, and coordinating project interdependencies to ensure successful delivery of outcomes. More importantly is collaboration with clinicians, nursing and operational colleagues as well as senior managers, executives and external stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

The role includes line management of an Assistant Project Manager, providing support, mentorship, and development opportunities within the team.

  • Formal project management qualification or equivalent experience in project management across a range of complex projects to post graduate diploma level or equivalent
  • Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development.
