Job summary

Due to internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a dynamic and patient focused individual to join our dietetic team. Applications for both full time and part time hours are welcomed. Working hours are to be fixed the same each week but there is some scope for flexible working between 8.00 am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience of working closely with people, ideally in a healthcare setting. Written and spoken communication skills and the ability to show empathy and understanding are key for this role. You will be required to provide training to individuals or groups of patients or staff, therefore experience of delivering training would be an advantage.

The role includes patient related administrative tasks and participation in project work, therefore the post holder must be educated to GCSE grade 4 /C or above in Maths and English or equivalent and be able to demonstrate excellent computer/IT skills to include Microsoft Office Packages.

Experience of self-directed working and the ability to prioritise tasks would be beneficial and an interest in nutrition and working in a hospital environment would also be an advantage, but appropriate competency-based training will be provided.

Clinical duties involve face to face interaction with patients to promote appropriate nutritional intake which is vital for their recovery, under the supervision of a Dietitian. You will be working with all members of the multidisciplinary team promoting recovery and independence, making an active contribution to the provision of the highest standards of patient care.
