This is a 0.5 wte/5 PA role that would be undertaken in addition to the successful applicants existing responsibilities which would need to be adjusted to create capacity.
The salary will be dependent on the staff group of the successful candidate and the professional registration required will depend on which profession the successful candidate is from.
The salary for staff on Agenda for Change terms and conditions will be 8d (subject to confirmation) or Consultant terms and conditions for medical staff.
The tenure for this role is as follows:
Three years with the option to extend, through mutual agreement, for a further 2 years. The role will be readvertised at the end of the tenure period. The incumbent Divisional Director will not be precluded from applying
The key focus of the interview will be on the following;
- Your vision for inclusive leadership and how you will engage leaders and staff from across the Division
- At the end of your tenure in the role of Divisional Director what would you want to have achieved through the role
Main duties of the job
As part of our commitment to strengthening clinical leadership across the Trust and embedding our vision for inclusive leadership the role of Divisional Director has been created to provide overarching leadership to each of the three clinical Divisions.
These roles will support the Trust to achieve its wider vision for leadership by:
Promoting collaborative and inclusive team cultures, empowering clinical teams and encouraging integrated working with and between clinicians, services and organisations.
Evaluating, and improving leadership practice and capacity in order to enhance standards and performance delivery within the organisations' governance framework.
Embedding and nurturing a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement, promoting innovation and sharing of best practice that that brings out the best in individuals and teams.
Adopting an inclusive, person-centred approach to both staff and patients, and reflecting this approach in all that we do.
