We're looking for an experienced and strategic leader to join us as Assistant Director of Organisational Development. This pivotal role will lead the delivery of our Organisational Development and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) strategies--supporting a culture of compassion, inclusivity, and high performance across the Trust. You'll work closely with senior leaders to shape and embed cultural transformation, improve staff experience, and ensure our workforce reflects the communities we serve. The key responsibilities of the role include:-

*Leading on OD and EDI strategy implementation, aligned with Trust priorities.

*Driving inclusive leadership, team development and cultural change initiatives.

*Overseeing compliance with equality legislation and national NHS frameworks (e.g. WRES, WDES, EDS).

*Using workforce data and insights to support organisational improvement.

*Managing and developing a high-performing OD team.

We are looking for a cultural competent OD Professional with

*Proven experience in senior OD/EDI leadership within an NHS environment.

*Strong knowledge of equality legislation and leadership development

*Proven experience of successfully driving organisation-wide OD interventions

*Excellent communication and influencing skills.

*A values-driven, compassionate leadership style.

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge. We perform the most heart and/or lung transplants in the UK and carried out the UK's first successful heart transplant in 1979.   • Educated to master's Level or able to demonstrate equivalent experience in a related OD and/or EDI and/or leadership field.
  • CIPD Level 7 qualification in organisational development or equivalent level of experience.
