Job summary

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a forward-thinking candidate to join the Critical Care Administration team. The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Critical Care Unit, managing Critical Care rosters using the electronic rostering system, supporting members of staff with annual leave requests, contractual changes and liaising with other multi-disciplinary teams.

This role requires the post holder to develop a close and effective working relationship with a large Critical Care team as well as developing effective networking with other departments e.g. Human Resources, Temporary Staffing and the E-Rostering Team.

Essential skills will include excellent interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and ability to prioritise and organise own workload. The successful applicant will work alongside a small team of administrative staff on Critical Care but be part of the wider Critical Care team. They will be able display the Trusts team values in their day to day work and interactions with colleagues.

You will ensure that services are provided in a safe and supportive environment and at all times adopt a professional approach to your work promoting a positive image to services users/carers the general public and staff.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the co-ordination and maintenance of the electronic rostering system (Allocate Optima) for Critical Care and ensure that the safe clinical cover is maintained at all times by insuring that the ward is staffed appropriately and that all staff are fulfilling their contracted hours. Produce the Critical Care's staffing rosters using Optima Healthroster. Manage the units annual leave and flexible working agreements.

To provide admin support to the Critical Care unit, monitoring the CCA admin email and helping and answering staff questions and queries. Supporting staff with contractual changes and new working arrangements and other adhoc admin duties.

Previous experience in this role is desirable but not essential as full training and a structured development plan will be provided.
