You will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision for pharmacy homecare, collaborating to enhance the quality of the service provided and utilising advancing electronic solutions where possible.

This role offers the post holder a great deal of flexibility and we would encourage prospective candidates to get in touch to discuss the opportunities available. Royal Papworth Hospital pharmacy is a close team, and this role will work in collaboration with Homecare companies, lead pharmacists, clinicians and specialist nurses. As a department we are committed to supporting flexible working and continuous education. Main duties of the job

Our homecare team consists of six administrators, in addition to this position, and we take great pride in the strong relationships we maintain with the broader pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams. We are seeking an individual to join us who is committed to going above and beyond to ensure our patients receive their medications on time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the management and strategic development of homecare services. This role includes overseeing the daily delivery of medication to individuals in their homes and working closely with clinicians and specialist pharmacists to ensure accurate and valid prescriptions are provided to homecare providers. There will be a small amount of general pharmacy technician work required in order to participate in a 1 in 8 weekend rota.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of pharmacy procurement processes, enabling them to establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with providers and ensure alignment with national and regional contracts. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the timely and accurate invoicing process and developing good working relationships with finance colleagues will be essential. The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and will always prioritise the patient in their decision-making.
