Depending on experience we are looking for either a Deputy Team Lead or a static B6 to join our Surgical Physiotherapy team, who has a passion for respiratory and are motivated to learn and progress. This post offers the opportunity to develop both clinical and leadership & people management skills in this specialist area. You will be supported by the Thoracic Team Lead and Service Lead Physiotherapists to develop clinically and as a leader.

This role provides the individual with a fantastic opportunity to work with key stakeholders and the wider Thoracic Surgery and PEA MDT to advance the service provided and coordinate high quality patient care. Within the role the post holder will engage in audit and research and support colleagues with their own service improvement work.

The post holder will work closely with the Physiotherapy Service Leads, Team Leads and Deputy Team Leads to support service delivery, coordination, and development. The individual will work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy Service Lead and Team Lead on Cardiothoracic wards to ensure cohesive service provision.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will act as a Deputy Team Lead Physiotherapy clinician in a highly specialised area of thoracic surgery and pulmonary endarterectomy (PEA) surgery, to ensure a high quality physiotherapy service provision to surgical patients within the Trust.
