Job summary
INTERNAL ONLY
Teach, mentor, and supervise new staff, junior colleagues, professional visitors, and students within the bounds of own knowledge and experience. Participate in the CCA education programme with a combination of bedside and classroom teaching.
Main duties of the job
Participate in the training of all staff on Critical Care
Support in ensuring all practice is research based, taking responsibility for specific projects.
Support with implementation of medical device competencies for equipment used within Critical Care.
Support with training of all staff, ensuring appropriate documentation.
Support with ensuring all professional visitors to CCA have structured learning and adequate support.
Maintain effective communication within the MDT.
Participate in the CCA education programme with a combination of bedside and classroom teaching.
Participate in clinical audit.
Support with the evaluation of the effectiveness of CCA Education.
Continuously evaluate the quality of care given and, in consultation with the patient and the multidisciplinary team, regularly re-assess the needs of the patient, effecting change, as required, to achieve planned goals.
Identify the learning needs of others and, in consultation with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and implement programmes to meet these.
Review own practices and develop skills and knowledge that contribute to the enhancement of patient care.
Take part in the recruitment of staff.
Contribute changes within CCA.
