Job summary

Internal only (6-month secondment)

An exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Support worker to work alongside our Cardiology ACP team to support patients under the intervention service.

We are looking for someone to work as part of the multi-professional team, undertaking a range of delegated clinical duties for patients, having the knowledge and behaviours to provide compassionate, safe and high-quality care and support as directed by the registered nurse.

The role will be based across Cardiology (Ward, Cath Labs and ACP team) to support the flow of patients under the intervention service including treat and return patients from CUH, assisting patients in the preparation for Catheter Laboratories (Cath Labs) and supporting the ward and Cath Labs as required. There will also be some administrative duties as part of this role.

  • Successful completion of Care Certificate within 12 weeks of appointment
  • Must possess a willingness to undertake further study to achieve competency levels required

Desirable

  • Specific specialty on-the-job training
  • Good general standard of education to vocational level 3 (GCSE 'A' level standard or equivalent)

  • Recent experience of working in a healthcare environment
