Job summary
We are seeking enthusiastic colleagues to join our Consultant team in the provision of anaesthetic and critical care.
You will possess a certificate of completion of training (CCT) or a certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or equivalent in the specialty of Anaesthesia. You will have significant experience of adult cardiothoracic anaesthesia and intensive care, including heart and lung transplantation and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Training in echocardiography is essential.

Main duties of the job
*Shared responsibility with other colleagues for critical care service provision and cardiothoracic anaesthesia.
*Participation in the critical care, cardiothoracic anaesthesia and ECMO on-call duties, up to 1:6, with prospective cover.
*Teaching, training and clinical supervision of trainees and other health professionals.
*Participation in the research, audit and quality improvement activities of the hospital.
*Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of patients and compliance with clinical governance initiatives.
