FELLOWSHIP POST IN CARDIAC AND THORACIC RADIOLOGY
Royal Papworth Hospital is the Regional centre for cardiothoracic services and has a reputation for innovation and research. Specialist services include pulmonary hypertension, transplantation, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, thoracic oncology and cardiothoracic surgery. The radiology department is very well equipped with state of the art equipment including two Siemens Force CT scanners, and 1.5/3.0T MRIs for cardiac work. The post will provide excellent experience in all aspects of cardiac and thoracic radiology. There are opportunities for research.
Radiology Cardiothoracic Fellowship/StR Post
Three posts are available for a period of 12 months commencing Summer 2025. Consideration will be given for other start dates. The post is suitable for trainees who hold a current NTN. Those who are interested without an NTN, or who are post CCT could be appointed as a LAS or Trust Clinical Fellow. Specialist Registrars currently enrolled in a UK training programme (other than the East of England Deanery), who wish to retain their National Training Number (NTN) whilst at Papworth, should discuss 'out-of-programme-training' (OOPT) with their Training Programme Director.

Main duties of the job
*Actively participate in all aspects of imaging within the department including leading CT and MRI lists. This includes administration of beta blockade, supervising stress examinations and 1st reporting all types of imaging examinations. Supervision of and support for the Radiographic team
*Participate fully in all aspects of the training and assessment programme
