Job summary

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in Cardiac Support.

We are a busy team and are responsible for numerous nurse led clinics, covering both the Cardiology and Cardiothoracic patient group.

We work Monday to Friday 8-6pm, and are looking for full time nurse. Part time will be considered.

If you have cardiology and surgical experience and preferably have the clinical assessment course, then we would love to hear from you.

The post requires excellent communication skills, as you will be dealing with patients, family members and a wide cross section of MDT members.

You will also need to be a strong team player.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate would be involved in all aspects of the patient's journey at Royal Papworth - from time of referral, through their subsequent investigations and treatments, whilst also providing support and advice once discharged from Royal Papworth Hospital. It is, therefore, essential to have excellent communication and organisational skills and to be able to manage your own workload, as well as working well as a member of the cardiothoracic support and multi-disciplinary teams.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced nurse who would be expected to have experience within a cardiothoracic setting.

If you feel you have these attributes and are looking for a rewarding and interesting, yet challenging, role we will provide you with the support to develop both personally and professionally.

If you would like further information or to arrange an informal visit, please contact Lana Shirley Cardiac Support Sister on 01223 638100.
