We are seeking an enthusiastic Coordinator in our Multi-Disciplinary Team to plan and support effective referral services for In-house Urgent Surgery, Acute Coronary Syndrome and Electrophysiology.

This role is fundamental within the Cardiology and Surgical Directorates, and you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely processing of referrals via the PRIS Referral system and tracking patient progress through the individual pathways and MDT team meetings.

You will be an experienced administrator with an eye for detail and an aptitude for using a variety of IT systems. Interpersonal skills are paramount as you will liaise with staff at all levels along with external agencies in person or on the telephone.

You will be part of our small friendly team and work alongside the Cardiology and Surgical teams, therefore the ability to work collaboratively is essential. You will be able to also work autonomously using your own initiative.

The role requires you to work an early and a late on rotation between 8am and 5pm, to include bank holidays, along with one weekend in four. There is the possibility of hybrid working once fully trained.

Main duties of the job

Actively manage an accurate efficient administrative pathway service for IHU, ACS, and EP, in accordance local and national speciality guidelines to agreed standards. To be responsible for facilitating the multi-disciplinary team meetings. To maintain well-structured MDT meetings, through communicative foundation for effective collaborative team working.

To manage the administrative post MDT meeting process by enabling the necessary actions to ensure an efficient patient pathway. To be responsible for maintaining an accurate and up to date record for each patient's pathway using the patient tracker and for facilitating the multi-disciplinary team meetings

  • NVQ- L3 in administration or equivalent experience

  • RSA 1/2 typing or equivalent
