This is a substantive role. However we would also welcome applications from those within the Trust seeking a secondment to further expand their experience and skills.

Main duties of the job

Provide and receive routine, complex and sensitive information and share with a variety of stakeholders

You will be supporting work activities relating to career pathways, talent management, widening access and this will include but is not limited to:

*Providing a high quality and efficient administrative service including dealing with correspondence

*Be an expert in your area of work to be able to provide guidance and advice

*Receiving and processing information and data

*Supporting room bookings and co-ordination of meetings and training events

*Having the ability to work with employees from all staff groups and different levels

Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge. We perform the most heart and/or lung transplants in the UK and carried out the UK's first successful heart transplant in 1979. It also offers emergency heart attack treatment, sleep centre care and is one of just five centres nationally for those in severe respiratory failure.

  • Vocational Qualification at Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience

Experience

  • Previous experience of working in a customer facing role
  • Experience of inputting accurate and timely data onto electronic systems
  • Willingness to learn to use Workforce systems
  • The ability to communicate basic or sensitive information to colleagues, patients and relatives
  • The ability to pay close attention to detail in written and electronic communication and information storage
  • The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high quality administrative support
  • Able to organise, prioritise and adjust own workload in relation to the priorities of a busy department on a daily basis
  • The ability to suggest & demonstrate changes to own practice
  • Demonstrates personal duty of care in relation to the safe use of equipment and other resources
