Job summary

Are you ready to kick-start your career in administrative support? We're looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Employee Relations Administrator.

As an apprentice in our dynamic workplace, you'll have the chance to develop valuable knowledge and skills while providing top-notch administrative support. From answering general queries to arranging meetings and managing diaries, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to assist colleagues with workforce processes, offering advice on recruitment, pay, policies, and procedures with tact and sensitivity.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing comprehensive administrative support, including transcribing meeting notes, assisting with employee relations investigations and hearings, and booking venues.

Utilising workforce systems to disseminate information and ensure accuracy.

Handling internal and external correspondence promptly and in accordance with departmental and trust guidelines.

Processing data and documents to a high standard, including transcribing meeting minutes accurately.

Main duties of the job

Apprenticeship opportunity leading to level 3 qualification.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated, Apprentice Employee Relations Administrator within the Workforce Employee Relations Team, who are based at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge.

You will have responsibility for talking to colleagues on the phone and communicating via email and providing administrative support for employee relations meetings. You will also need to access multiple IT systems.

The skills we are looking for are attention to detail, tact, patience, and accurate data entry, the ability to liaise with colleagues throughout the Hospital and beyond, excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and respectful manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under time restraints and pressure at times. We will provide the necessary support to ensure your development within your role.
