Have you a passion for working within theatres? Are you looking to advance your skills and practice? We're looking for a Trainee Cardiothoracic SCP to join our expanding team.
As part of the role you will be trained in harvesting conduit, including the radial artery, as well as first and second assisting. You will also participate in aspects of pre, peri and post-operative care of the patient under the direction of the Consultant Surgeons.
Main duties of the job
Providing professional and operational leadership, with 24-hr continuing responsibility for the quality of patient care, ensuring that nursing/ODP practice is delivered to an excellent standard.
Under the direction of the consultant surgeons the post holder will carry out operative procedures, whilst assisting in all aspects of peri-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care.
You will work closely with consultant surgeons, medical staff and other surgical care practitioners in developing this role to its full potential
Provide leadership and management for team members.
