Job summary

Do you have good organisation and time management skills?

We are seeking an enthusiastic Transport Coordinator to join our patient flow team. You will be part of a supportive and friendly team who deal daily with patient transport requests and the planning of transfers and discharges.

The team ensure patient transport is provided to eligible patients' creating flow in a timely and professional manner in line with Trust guidelines. You will liaise with wards and departments to ensure safe transfer of patients from ward/clinical areas to their onward destination and a good telephone manner is a key requirement.

You will need a high standard of administration expertise, accuracy being essential, and proven customer service skills.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an individual who is flexible, has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure at times whilst maintaining a high standard of efficiency.

You will need to work in a team and autonomously as this role is based working from home after initial training. Working on your own initiative and the ability to prioritise your workload are paramount. In addition to this you should have knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and associated software packages.

Hours of work: Monday and Friday on rotational shifts of 08:00 -- 16:30 and 09:30 -- 18:00
