Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker to join our CPAP Practitioner Team. This position would ideally suit an individual with a caring positive attitude who strives to make the patient feel valued, while upholding our Trust values of Compassion, Excellence and Collaboration.

With our patient cohort currently in the region of 17000, we are looking for an individual who embraces innovation. We will support you in achieving the care certificate and will also provide training and support within our speciality.

Main duties of the job

Our Practitioner Team are predominately based in the outpatient department at Royal Papworth Hospital and travel independently across several locations in the East Anglia region to support outreach clinics.

Health education and promotion plays a significant part in our role and as part of your role you will be asked to help with the Community Sleep Studies. This will involve preparing and giving out the monitors to the patients and will also include downloading and checking that the studies have been delivered to our data base.

Good communication skills are essential as you will be required to make calls to patients and carers regarding devices.

Sending out devices and masks from clinics, along with maintaining stock levels in our department and assisting when required in clinics.
