Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Cardiology team on Wards 3 South, 4 North West and Coronary Care Unit.
Our focus is our patients, their needs, ensuring their comfort and providing quality care. This is at the forefront of our thinking and we are constantly working to develop the service we offer to the people we care for. 3 South and 4 North West currently have 53 beds commissioned including 4 Coronary Care Beds, with expectations of further expansion in the coming months. Cardiology is fast paced and is on the cutting edge of technology, providing excellent cardiology experience for staff caring for patients undergoing cardiology procedures: angiograms, angioplasty, ablations, cardiac devices and various cardiac valve related procedures.
Main duties of the job
The nursing dependency of the patients is diverse with direct transfers from the regional general hospitals and emergency pathways running through our department and as such is dependent on the clinical skills of trained and motivated nurses. We have a superb and supportive team of dedicated nurses and support staff. Our staff are focused on providing the highest standards of patient care, upholding our Trust values of Compassion, Excellence and Collaboration. We are keen to recruit staff to join our team who will share our vision, enthusiasm and pride in the care we deliver.
We have good development opportunities at Royal Papworth, with a supportive individualised orientation program following trust induction. There are specialist in house study days and courses. There are also close links to Universities within the region for post registration courses.
