If so, read on. We have an incredible opportunity for a Team Lead Occupational Therapist to join us. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who wants to help our department drive forwards our exciting innovations and ambition to lead the way in cardiothoracic care.

At the Royal Papworth Hospital, we put patients at the centre of our practice by utilising the rare opportunity of our professions expertise and dual-training in physical and mental health. We encourage creativity, so you will have the chance to use a wide range of interventions to support recovery and well-being.

The post holder will provide clinical skills and compassionate leadership to the Occupational Therapy team within transplantation and cardio-thoracic surgery, whilst developing the departments research portfolio.

Candidates should:

Have a BSc, MSc or Grad Dip in Occupational Therapy, be HCPC registered with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Be able to provide a comprehensive occupational therapy service to patients with a wide range of cardio-respiratory conditions in all settings.

Be able to manage a small team of rotational staff and lead on service improvement projects.

Main duties of the job

Become part of our supportive and innovative team covering inpatient services, including bank holiday and Saturday working.

We will provide you with:

- Support and teaching across all rotational areas, including regular in-service training sessions.

- Regular one to ones, appraisals and competency support.

- In-house courses and access to external courses and conferences.

- Involvement with expert multi-disciplinary teams.

Opportunity to participate and lead service development projects and audits.

-Participation in research.

- Support and guidance for you to mentor students and junior staff.
